After revamping their offensive staff and adding a few weapons to that side of the ball, the Cleveland Browns are hoping quarterback Deshaun Watson and company can carry the load that their defense did a year ago as they head back to training camp.
Winning 11 games on the back of their defense, the Browns need more from their offense, particularly in health department. Player after player dropped with an injury on the offense, but the majority of the key pieces are expected to be back for the start of training camp this week. Defensively, the Browns opted to run back the majority of the same unit that led the league a year ago while still making upgrades to the linebacker room.
But is that enough to push the Browns over the top? ESPN tends to think they’ll have a roster in the half of the league. With the coaching provided by two-time NFL Coach of the Year Kevin Stefanski, the Assistant Coach of the Year Jim Schwartz, and new offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, that may be enough.
